 Instructions
- Wash the lemons thoroughly and zest 2 tablespoons before juicing.
- Squeeze the lemons to get about 1½ cups fresh lemon juice.
- In a saucepan, combine water and sugar. Heat over medium heat until the sugar completely dissolves.
- Add the lemon zest and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let the syrup cool for 10 minutes.
