Questions & Answers

Q: Can I use dark chocolate?
A: Yes. You can replace part or all of the milk chocolate with dark chocolate for a richer, less sweet flavor.

Q: Can I make it without condensed milk?
A: Yes, but the texture will change. Sweetened condensed milk creates the classic creamy fudge consistency.

Q: Why is my fudge soft?
A: It may not have chilled long enough or the chocolate-to-condensed milk ratio may be too low.

Q: Can I use white chocolate?
A: Yes. White chocolate works well, though it will be sweeter and softer.

Q: Do I have to coat the bars?
A: No. You can simply slice and serve the chilled fudge without dipping it in chocolate.

Q: Can I freeze the bars?
A: Yes. Wrap each bar individually and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator before serving.

Q: Can I add cookies or candy pieces?
A: Absolutely. Crushed chocolate cookies, toffee bits, peppermint candies, or mini marshmallows all make great additions.
