 Ingredients

For the Meatballs

  • 500g (1 lb) ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the Honey Garlic Sauce

  • ⅓ cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (optional, to thicken)
  • Jalapeño slices (optional)
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

 Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic, onion powder, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Roll into 1-inch meatballs.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet and brown the meatballs for 8–10 minutes until cooked through.
  4. In another pan, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
  5. Add honey and soy sauce; simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  6. Stir in the cornstarch slurry if you prefer a thicker sauce.
  7. Toss the cooked meatballs in the sauce until evenly coated.
  8. Garnish with jalapeño slices and parsley.
  9. Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or noodles.
